Custom car audio is not as big as it once was but the family that we have put together at Down Town Sounds all enjoy car audio. John; a person who has helped many lives and who also happens to be the owner, loves car audio. In 2000 John came in second place at the World Finals using eight 15inch Shockers subwoofers. Also in 2001 he placed forth and again in 2002 he placed second in the World Finals. Johns love for car audio put him where he is today.

At Down Town Sounds we deal with a lot of custom car audio. We can handle anything including building custom boxes, building custom fiberglass kick panels, putting in multi sub and amp systems, and you can’t forget about installing radios. We have a wide variety of radios including Pioneer, JVC, Panisonic, Phase Linear, Kenwood, Jensen, Dual and a few others. We also carry in-dash DVD players as well as flip out DVD players from companies such as Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC, Pyle, Phase Linear, Power Acoustic, BOSS, and Jenson.

We carry an array of speakers and subwoofers for all various vehicles and applications. Our top of the line brand would be Rockford Fostgate. They have every speaker for every application, also including marine use. What makes Rockford Fostgate, Rockford Fostgate would have to be their Subwoofers. They have two types of subs. The “P” series would be their Punch Series. The “T” series would be there Power Series. We carry all of their subs including the P1, P2, P3, P3 Shallow, T1, and T2. If you are looking for that bass that isn’t there then you would be more then happy with the Punch Series Subwoofers. Now for the people in this world that want more then the bass that is there you would be thrilled to hear any one of the Power Series Subwoofers. Picking the correct amplifier to get the best performance out of your subs isn’t too hard due to the fact Rockford Fostgate has a Punch and Power Series set of amplifiers. Now you can do any combination of subwoofers and not have to worry about supplying the power to them.

Now for the people that don’t need top of the line all the time, we have another brand for you. American Bass which is just another great product that we have in stock. We have heard more then once from customers that they feel it is the “best bang for your buck”. In 2009, that is what many people want and this is the perfect product for them. American Bass carries many different types of speakers and subwoofers too. They have your standard speaker selection and some great subwoofers including DX, XO, XD, and the massive VFL series. Along side the subwoofers are their amplifiers which are FL, SQ, and the VFL.

Following that, we have some more great selections from various manufactures including Hifonics, Auto Tech, DB Drive, Fusion, and MB Quart. We have just recently received some new orders of Hifonics 12inch Subwoofers, the Shallow Mount 12inch sub from MB Quart, and some new speakers manufactured by Fusion.
